SKINDRED To Headline Moscow's SNICKERS Festival In Moscow, Russia
August 4, 2008Welsh ragga-metal band SKINDRED will make its first appearance in Moscow, Russia when it headlines the Snickers Urbania extreme sport festival on August 30. The massive festival is held every year and attracts audiences from all over the world to watch the greatest artists perform and the greatest extreme athletes compete, including BMX, skateboarding, and many others.
SKINDRED's sophomore album, "Roots Rock Riot", sold 3,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 22 on the national independent chart.
The recording of "Roots Rock Riot" was completed at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, FL with producer Matt Squire (PANIC AT THE DISCO) and was mixed by Rick Will (BABYLON).
"Roots Rock Riot" is follow-up to the band's breakthrough debut, "Babylon", which has sold over 250,000 copies and featured the Top 10 hit single "Nobody" and its successful follow-up, "Pressure".
SKINDRED has toured the world extensively with the likes of KORN, CHEVELLE, BREAKING BENJAMIN, HIM, SEVENDUST, PAPA ROACH, SOULFLY and has previously appeared at the UK's Download festival where frontman Benji Webbe took over vocals for KORN to perform their classic song "A.D.I.D.A.S."
